Subject: NEVER USE SUNDANCE BALLOONS
Comment: A few girlfriends and I decided to purchase hot air balloon certificates for a graduation present to each other and decided to buy from Sundance Balloons. They were very helpful in getting us our certificates and very efficient in charging us. And they were very helpful in booking our flights... again and again and again and again until we realized that everytime we book with them, EVERYTIME it's cancelled! We can understand that weather may play an important role. We were given simplistic instructions to call the balloon line the evening before the flight to verify if the flight was still a "go" or not and numerous times has the balloon line never been updated until minutes before we were actually supposed to be in the balloon and in the air and by that time, we were already at the flight launch area waiting for the pilot to arrive which took us 1hr to get to! We were afraid of having our certificates voided if we were noted as “no shows”. The way Sundance Balloons operates is way too suspicious for me to suggest the company to anyone else. They assume no responsibility on their pilots and will only encourage you to keep booking flights until you finally actually get in one. It’s been 1yr and half now and we haven’t even come close to setting foot in one.
